Biweekly Battleplan
|
Strategising
There are two Battleplan events, each lasting two weeks. Houses are to put together a team who will work on their Battleplan and submit ONE on behalf of the House. You are to follow the guidance given here, and can draw on whatever other information you wish from the Prologue, main Story, or more general resources such as the wikis. The format your House’s entry takes is up to each team: this event is multimedia, so videos, websites, presentations, all are acceptable.
Entries are to be sent to Ashura and Xanos.
Weeks 3 and 4
The liberation of the Orian system from the hands of the Peace Brigade could not have come soon enough. Much still needs to be done to repair the damage, but the pressing concern is to pursue Admiral Yashais to wherever the Vong fleet is striking from and putting an end to these persistent raids once and for all. However we cannot go in blind; Fleet Admiral Araic Simonetti, Commanding Admiral of Special Operations, has tasked you and your team with devising the plan of attack. Intel is sketchy at best and we only have what we have beaten out of captured Peace Brigaders, but we will only get one chance at this, so we must be prepared. To this end, Admiral Simonetti has authorised deployment of the highest yield Violator Gas device ever assembled; you must decide how the bomb is inserted onto the Vong command ship, and—more over—who stays behind to pull the trigger.
The second battleplan places you back in the familiar role of an officer of the Dlarit Special Operations Group—or at least the limited ships that still remain operational after the Vong attack. Your objective is to devise a plan to track Admiral Izvoshra's ship to wherever the Vong are striking from, safely insert the VGB onto the enemy flagship, and detonate it to finally put an end to these alien filth. You are free to be creative and do not need to adhere to the official story if you would rather devise a different plan.
Entries for Strategising #2 are due 13 September.
Weeks 1 and 2
The Yuuzhan Vong attack has taken two years to plan. From the moment Varesh Shai first rebelled against the order to surrender from Warmaster Nas Choka, Varesh has worked with a singular purpose in mind: redemption. He believes only through a glorious victory will the Yuuzhan Vong regain favour with the Gods as their Chosen Race. The discovery of the Sith at Orian, and securing Tolok Amnan’s resources, has allowed Varesh to do this. Though it has pained the new Warmaster to do so, his alliance with Admiral Yashais dei Izvoshra of the Peace Brigade, and his reluctant acceptance of the Jedi converts of Eckla Muyel, have helped Varesh’s agents infiltrate the Orian system, take control of their defence systems, and sow the seeds for his assault on their citadel on Sepros. While Yashais holds the veteran Dark Jedi at Tarthos and Aeotheran, Varesh storms Sadow Palace to butcher as many as he can find.
The first battleplan gives you the opportunity to jump into the enemies' shoes. Your goal is to devise a plan to invade the Orian system and butcher as many of the Sith and Dark Jedi as you can find. Remember, your fleet is still small, and you do not have the raw firepower to take on the entire Dlarit Navy head to head. You are free to be creative and do not need to adhere to the official story if you would rather devise a different plan.
Entries for Strategising #1 are due 30 August.
